The installation diskettes contain compressed files that cannot be used as is.
1) The first step is to install the USB dongle driver.
Find the subdirectory " Rainbow Driver" in the CD ROM. In this subdirectory, click on the file :
RainbowSSD5.39.2.exe
This will install the USB dongle driver in your computer. This is required, since the program will not run without a properly installed USB dongle and driver.
2) After the driver is installed, go to the root directory in the CD ROM. In Windows, run the SETUP.EXE file in the CD ROM root directory. The setup utility will install the program to a subdirectory of your choice. It will also add some files to the Windows System subdirectory. These files are necessary for the proper running of the program.
The setup utility will create a Program Group item in Windows, and place the CanCalc Analysis Module icon in that Group. You can later move this icon to a Program Group of your choice.
